FOREIGN BRANCH OFFICE
According to Oman Law, Foreign branch office is held 100% the foreign owner. No Omani partner or agent is required. A foreign national may establish a branch office in Oman for the purpose of performing government or nongovernment contracts.
The branch office is performed in the same legal entity as the foreign company. Therefore, the liability of the foreign company is unlimited. A branch has its own commercial registration and also branch office can have its own bank account, financing, arrangements and etc.
A branch may also be set up for projects which are declared by the Council of Ministers in Oman. In addition, licensed banks may set up bank branches in Oman subject to the requirement of the Finance & Baking Law.
